Possible disruptions and delays in shipments to and from the Middle East
06/03/2026
Dear Customers,
we would like to inform you that, due to the current geopolitical situation and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, disruptions, operational changes and delays may affect shipments to and from the region.
Air Freight
At present, several air connections to and from the Middle East have been suspended, particularly to destinations such as Kuwait, Doha and Bahrain. Operations to other destinations remain active, although subject to restrictions and continuous verification.
Operational update – March 5, 2026, 16:00
Air services are currently operating to and from the following locations: Istanbul, Amman, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Beirut, Muscat and, more recently, Dubai, where cargo acceptance has resumed.
These services are being managed under emergency conditions. Space availability and applicable rates must therefore be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We also recommend verifying the insurance coverage applicable to shipments destined for the region.
Through our international network, we are able to evaluate land transit solutions from currently operational airports to various destinations where required.
For shipment-specific checks and updated information, please contact our Customer Service team.
Sea Freight
For sea freight shipments, service interruptions, temporary suspensions and routing changes should be expected depending on the decisions taken by shipping lines.
Major carriers have also announced significant freight rate increases for cargo destined to, or already in transit through, ports in the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf.
These increases will also affect shipments already in transit, as well as those about to depart.
Contacts and updates
Given the rapidly evolving situation, we recommend verifying each shipment with your Tecnofreight commercial contact or with our Customer Service team in order to identify the most suitable operational solution.
We remain at your disposal for any further clarification and will continue to provide timely updates as the situation develops.
